I just got a plant called water fern or something like that i got it to hide my filter in my 2' tank it looks good at the moment and i was wondering if it was a good or bad plant. i know i should have done some research first but i rushed into it as the plant was going on ebay,

Would love some tips or advice on this plant if anyone can help

And yes more research is always better The plant will need light and other things, if you are unable to meet those requirements the plant will start to deteriorate and die, it will raise the ammonia levels of your tank if it starts to rot and that is bad.

DO you mean java fern? Or maybe water sprite?
