Hi, my blue(opaline) gourami have spawned. The babies are 9 days old now and I need to know what to do. So far I have fed them on infurosia, at 7 days, i started to feed them BBS. Yesterday I just tossed some powdered flakes in there...Well I need to know what to do now...what should i do to make sure the labyrinth organ develops right...Can anyone give me a care sheet link? I tryied a google, but not realy much luck..THANKS SO MUCH!!

It's pretty much just like bettas. The labyrinth stage is the most difficult to make it thru. You need to lower the water half way and preferably cover the top of the tank with saran wrap. Also make sure you keep the water as clean as possible.
Did they eat the flake?

oh and congrats by the way

With bettas it's usually between week 3 & 4, I can only assume the same for gouramis. So make sure you have some source of aeration. I'll search around really quick.

mmkay, everything I've read is exactly like the betta. I'll copy and paste what I found...which is basically a repeat of what I've already said

Once spawning is complete, the female's involvement is over, and she should be removed to prevent her from being attacked by the male. From this point forward until they hatch, the male will tend the eggs, carefully rearranging them and returning any errant eggs back to the nest. Spitting streams of water is an interesting phenomenon often seen at this time in breeding males. It is believed the purpose of this behavior is to keep the eggs positioned within the bubblenest. In some cases spitting has been used to dislodge insects hanging just above the surface of the water.
The male will tend to the eggs until they hatch, and after hatching, there should be frequent water changes, especially during the third week, as this is when the labyrinth organ is developing.

The eggs hatch in approximately 30 hours. The fry should be fed infusoria and nauplii. Water changes should be frequent, especially during the third week, which is when the labyrinth organ develops.
From here

So keep hatching those bbs and you're in the clear. It really is amazing that you have a breeding pair  So exciting!
