Well, I've lost one of my favorites, with a second one close behind. I'm not replacing them, or any other fish.

We had 3 bala sharks, but as they got larger, they were more nervous, so I found a home for them with a bigger tank and quieter household.

So, can a tank be understocked? We'll just have 4 gouramis and a bristlenosed pleco in our 75 gallon here pretty soon....

Perhaps a dumb question....but am curious.

I dont think you really can be UNDERstocked, but c'mon. Do you really not want to fill that bad boy up. I'll give you my 29g plus 100$CDN for your 75g, then you will be stocked perfectly, and I can get to work on that BLue Ram tank Ive dreamed about :flex:

DB :fish:

I have two baby goldfish (only 2 inches long each) in a 30 gallon right now, so it looks understocked, but I know they're going to grow up to be huge and probably need a good 55 gal to avoid ammonia problems and crowding. My dad is baffled as to why we just spend 75 dollars on a tank for "two puny, 12 cent fish"

Honestly, I'm sure your fish like all of the space you're giving them. Crowding it up would probably only increase the chances of fighting, illness, high amonia/nitrite, etc. However, if you don't feel you're getting your money's worth with the tank, you could probably sell it and make a pretty good sale. I'd love to have a 75  but my house is wee and tiny so I'll never have enough room for one.
