Can A Gravid Spot Be Pink?

i have a female pale orange mickey mouse platy,but unlike the other 2 females i have (their gravid spots are black),this platy has a pink gravid spot,she's defo pregnant,i can even see the fry eyes through the pink gravid spot.

is this normal?

I can't help but I'd like an answer to this as well... I have a white dalmation platy showing the exact same thing!

Yes a gravid spot can be pink. Infact I have seen fish with pink, orange, light red, dark red brown and black. I wouldn't worry about it.

Thats why I never go by the gravid spot as it can be misleading on bright coloured fish. I tend to go by the sheer size and squarness of the fish when judging when she is due.
