Just wondering as My recently added white female mollie doesnt seem to fit in  I bought her to take pressure off the black female pregnant mollie and the male chasing her. Thing is the other mollies havent took to her, they constantly chase her and nip at her tail, her tail is now torn. Also the blue Ram is ok with her sometimes and seems to pair up with her, then the next minute he is chasing her and nipping her aswell. The poor girl looks a nervous wreck and is forever jumping around to see if any others are behind her. I have lots of plants and caves, hiding places but they even seem to go looking for her and harrasing her to come out them.

So is it possible a fish can be an outcast and just not fit in??

how long has she been in the tank? Sometimes it takes a while for fish to except others... it was the same thing when I got my first 2 angles then added the 3rd a week later... the third angle wasn't excepted for like another 8 days...

Sometimes they can be outcast. It depends on the species of fish and other specifics but it does happen, usually when territory is limited

Ive had her 8 or 9 days I think. I posted on here the day I got her but cant find the post lol.

The male mollie in general doesnt bother her, doesnt even acknowledge her really. I did notice one night as I sat and watched all 3 mollies and the ram looked to be challanging all of each other. It was really odd behaviour. They were all in a circle facing each other face on, like staring each other out as though neither wanted to back down. They stayed still like that for over 30 mins and then slowly the white female backed off and reversed round the driftewood with out losing her stare. Then the black mollie did the same, backing away slowly and carefully. Then the male mollie which then left the ram who once on his own swam away?? All fish seem to have there own terrortory and theres plenty of extra spaces, but its like they wont allow the white mollie anywhere at all. She can right at the other end of tank on her own and there still not happy.

Should I just giver longer to settle in??

I'd give her some more time. What size tank to you have all of them in?

5 foot.

Shall keep an eye and give her more time. Bless she is smaller than the other mollies and about same size as the Ram. She is a sweety though.

Awe well then hopefully they will bond with her! Best of luck!!

Or poor thing, fish can be so nasty at times.

Sounds like Heather, our female betta we're having issues with.

Our schwartzi cory Cooper was left out for ages, but after we got her a friend she seems far happier. Never had problems with Zorro being by himself though. He just hangs out with everyone.

Sorry to hear about the dis-harmony in your tank :( I have 7 Harliquines and 1 is always separated frome the others (I know this as he/she is larger than the others before anyone asks! :p )
