i was trying to get some pictures of my new severums, but my male bolivian ram decided it was his turn to have pictures taken. he's definitely not shy of the camera

yeah, i was a little wary, but so far after a week, the severums haven't touched the plants. hopefully they won't. they grow like mad, so it should be ok (crossing fingers)
 
love the 3rd pic so many defined colours in there.

ncstater1919: it's so much because of the size they will grow to it's because they are territorial so need more space than your average 3" fish otherwise they wil easily cause havoc in the tank, give them the space they need and they will get along with alot more fish!
 
Lol, i love the Bolivian being a camera hog. The reason why the Sev. hasn't eaten the plants is mostly because of his size. As far as i know, along with some common species of turtles, Juveniles are mostly Carnivores but as they grow older they become bigger Vegetarians. Your Sev may only really become interested in plants once he's reached passed the 7'' mark. At about 1 foot, that's one big lawn mower!

It's really funny to see the Severum in the background even though you were trying to shoot it :p
