Hello Guys
I bought cambodia plants (spelt wrong) a few weeks ago....and now the tips of each plant are clamped up....I was a bit worried that I had not seen my blue rams for a while so i did a big water change...just in case the plants and my fish were reacting to something in the water.....

The plants seem to have recovered overnight and then this morning they were showing the same signs....
Has anyone come across this before?

I am feeding Plantamin once a month, regular water changes (20 odd litres a time) and also my temp is around 28oC amnd the light does stay on longer than it should....around 6 to 9 hours a day....I dont have Co2 in the tank. using the bog standard lighting for the tank (Lido 120) which is High-Lite Light Unit 60 cm, 2 x 24 W.

What am I missing? should I reduce the amount of lighting? is this clamping normal?

mine does it too, last thing at night just before the lights go out.

I assume it's the plant "going to sleep" as in not using the light any more :good:

Arhhh...so its just had enought of the light and does not want any more?

Panic over...hopefully!

yes, hygrophilia is another specie that does the same, one thing i would reccomend is to up the dosing to every week.
