my bettas have camellous (sp) worms!

I'm using a med called JBL gyrodol that does all worm types apparently, but it doesnt seem to be working, are there any other treatments that would work?

Thanks in advance

i am not sure if you can get it over here but i have had a look about for you and come up with a drug that might treat it but i think you can only get it from the vets Pauperize citrate but you will have to check it out

ps i dont know whether i spelt it right like i said i am
dyslexic lol

thanks for the reply and I am sorry this is so late.

Can you remove the worms yourself? If I pin them down gently and remove with tweezers can the fish haemoraage?

The worms are anchored into the fishes intestine, pulling them out will kill the fish. If your from the states, pick up a bottle of Jungle Labs Anti-Parasitic food.

ok - thanks for that. Someone told me to remove them but I wasnt sure. Apparently if you remove them then use peroxide to heal the wounds - but I was scared of causing death or heamorrage etc

I do have some jungle parasite clear, the disovable ones. I am in the UK but a friend sent me some to help out.

Do you know if it works at all? on a personal experience as I have used gyrodol to no effect this is my second try.

Best treatment is levamisole hydrochloride, but not readily avaliable to buy in the Uk.
Found that treatments that include this as an active ingredient are best.
This would be very good > ebay item
