Call me stupid

I have 6 Baby Molly's. Around 6/7 weeks old. The Mother is a White Molly. 4 Babies are dark in colour, Grey-ish. And the other two are Gold in colour.

How come?

mom or dad could have carried genes for other color variations. not uncommon.
