Hello. I have had my calico molly for about 2 1/2 months. She has had three sets of babies and the last was about a week or so ago. Unfortunately I have no fry as my other fish have eaten them. For once she does not appear to be pregnant. I do have one black male molly in the tank, is it possible that she is finally done with all her stored up sperm? If so will the black male mate with her? Thanks

yeah they'll mate all the time. even if she's pregnant the male will always give it a go on occasion. have you got any plants in the tank? i've got two real plants, 3 plastic ones loads of large pebbles, a shipwreck, bog wood and a cave for the fry to hide under. going to get some java moss too. all the fry get caught and put in a breeding trap but i'm sure if i let them out they'd all hide away well. thats your best chance of fry survival unless you have a spare tank to put them in.

Ok just making sure she's ok. Weird that she's not pregnant, hahaha. Most of mine are always pregnant right now. I'm not too concerned about fry survival at this point as I only have one tank and I'm full up as it is, don't want to overload the tank. Thanks for your help
