how do you get rid off them?!

on glass, on acrylic.. theyre everywhere!

Remember that glass can be scratched and acrylic (plastic) will definitely scratch easily. A razor blade will work great on glass. I've never used lemon juice but vinegar works good.

oOh, thanks guys! the white line is bugging the crap outta me! ill give it a good lemon scrub when i get back to school. you just scrub it and rinse with warm water right? thanks again for the help! hope you guys are having a great thanksgiving!

The Vinager would work wonderfully on my lid. The question though is what to do about the ring that develops at the waterline? I cant use anything that will hurt my water :)

Fish-Buddy - is this product you suggest toxic for an established tank?

Eve; on the bottle is says not to add to established tanks. So, yea, I think it could be toxic.
I use Rydyt 2 all the time (when I'm cleaning the tank with no fish in it) and it works in seconds- you can see the effects right away.
It's 7.99 at Aquarium Services for a ml bottle last time I checked.

Vinegar should only change the PH a little bit. The best way to go about it is drain some water so the water line is exposed. Use a cloth dipped in vinegar and apply to limescale. Wait a few minutes and then scrub with toothbrush or blade. It should just peel off. That way you wont get much vinegar into the water.
