Calcium Deposits

What is the best way to remove these from the hood and top edge of the tank?? I get them really bad. I scrape them off but they are back within a few weeks. Is there any way to keep them from accumulating so quickly??

Reduce the amount of calcium in the water. Water softening pillows can work if you put them in the filter but you have to be careful with how much you lower it.

Vinegar works well. Unless you change your water supply with ro water, they will keep showing up.
