Fish Herder
I've had my new tank for a few weeks now, and added fish about a week ago. It's cycled and the fish are doing really well.
Today I noticed loads of white stuff on the silicone. I put my hand into the water to clear it off and found it to be quite hard and rough but it came off easily enough. There have been specs of it for a couple of weeks now but since I was unsure what it was I just left it alone. It seems to be more on the side of the tank away from the filter. Could this be anything to do with it? I have a few pictures of what I'm too afraid to get off (incase I damage the silicone).

Any ideas what it could be and how I could get it off? Or even if I should get it off!
