Cackatoo looks

I have always been wondering why some cockatoos look very different. Maybe someone can alser it for me?

Some of them are larger and have a more greyish body with bright fins. they seem to be a little more deep bodied too- whereas the other kind, although with the same colored fin as the one described first, hav a darker horizontal line runnin along its body, is not as Grey but more yellow or golden, plus they seem to be slimmer and less deep bodied. Oh and the first one decribed with the greyish body are larger.

Is this because one is captive bred and the otehr is wild caught? or does one change into the other as they age?!!

I am sure that it had to do with the different genes running through the lines. Not sure about the wild caught/captive bred. My male looks a bit different from my sig (different fish) His body is yellowish on the top and bottom (not as grey). Couldn't tell you exactly why though.
