i have some carolinia cabomba, or however u spell. it grows fast, but it leaning forwards alot, to where its almost hitting the front glass. i was hoping for it to grow straight, and of course a little forward if its crowded, and maybe to lean towards the light, but a lot are leaning alot forward and it just looks messy.

any reason why its doing that and how i can fix it?

where is the light source,

Is there a single tube infront of the tank.. or is there more than one, how old is the back tube??

I think the plant is growing to the light that is not right above it?? you could try to swop the two light around or it time to replace the tube in the back? if you only have a single tube try to move it to the back.

thats what i was thinking but.... its not like that in my tank.

i got a 96w compact fluorescent a month ago. and thats in the middle rear of my tank, as close to the rear as it can get until it hits the filter.

my older regular fluorescent wwhich is 30w is in the front of the tank...

so that doesnt make sense

It could be that the plant is looking for the light of the regular fluorescent thats infront?

is the CF 4000K or 6500K and the regular fluorescent?

the rear is 6500, the front is a stock fluorescent bubl that came with the strip. its just a plain all-glass strip, not really sure what 'k' it is.

and its wierd, most are leaning, but there a couple that are like bent.
like an s shape almost.

lol, no message yet.....

but now it doesnt even look like it leans towards the light, they are just falling, like they cant support themselves.

any nutrients im missing? i use flourish excel and floursih potassium

i also live in arizona which has very hard water... any other tips? thanks
