right i got what i believe to be cabomba i got it from a mates pond (hope this is ok) anyway its currently in a jewel rekord 60 standard can it survive their cuttings by the way if you need any more info just ask

Are you asking if it is ok to get plants from a pond?
I got my egeria from a friends pond. It did just fine.

If you are asking if the way it was cut is ok...
I don't know.
Do you have any pics of the plants in question?

If it is cabomba then it should be fine as they are propogated by taking stem cuttings. The ones you see for sale in pots (other than tropica and other "specimen" sellers) will be cuttings that have been weighted and wrapped in sponge, then put in a pot.

Edit: Should eventually develope roots aswell
