I have just planted my 90L tank out with a load of plants and would like to know a good mix for a co2 2L bottle. Also how would i go about making it?

DIY Co2 is not effective on anything past 40 litres IMO go pressurized or use a liquid carbon supplement

I have been looking for easy carbo but cant find it and TPN+ also can't find that

damn it.

Will c02 help at all or not, i have never had much joy with plants

It depends on how many and what type of plants you have, and how much light you are providing for them as well.

EDIT: A light source over 2WPG will usually require the aid of Co2 for your plants to grow properly.

don't know the plant species but i have t8 tubes and 1.5 W per litre in a 90L tank

Well, if I did the math right, than 1.5 WPL is approximately equivalent to 2.6 WPG.(Someone correct me if my math is wrong). In which case you will need Co2 for your plants to grow. If you provide your plants with too much light and not enough Co2, your plants will not be able to perform photosynthesis properly and will not grow right, hence leading to algae build up and other problems.

A Co2 pressurized system is your best bet! :good:

1.5W per litre???

Sorry people i ment W per gallon :)

sorry
Well then...I dont think you will need Co2, unless you have a lot of plants.

You might be able to get away with a DIY Co2 system for the small amount of light you are providing. Just enough to bump the Co2 up a little, without putting too much in. If have too much Co2 and not enough light, your plants will not grow properly.

You can use this link to learn more about DIY Co2 systems.

I have to strongly disagree with you there - I have run a 90 litre for many years on DIY CO2 and I'm having the same success now on my new 150 litre tank. The drop checker is green to yellow always.

I add Marmite to my mix to prolong the 'peak' output and feed it into my uptake pipe and let the impeller do the rest.

Stable DIY CO2 on a 90 litre is easily obtainable.
