Hi All,

Ive started trying to use CO2 and am having a little bother.

ive attached images of the kit below so you can see what im using. Basically im having a rite mare of a time trying to get a set bubbles per minute, it starts fine then slows down to nothing, i turn up the flow and then its blasting out, so i turn it down and the cycle starts again.

Any help would be appreciated :/

Turn the valve up in really small increments - barely perceptible. The bubble rate will be fast at first but leave it for 15mins and check again - it should slow down. You just have to persist.

u probably need to soak ur diffuser in bleach , it will help to open up the small pores in the ceremic so it can bubble better , or ur flow guage influctuates , which can cause erratic bubble rate( i had that problema!)..ya like the above poster said^^....keep on doing it

I agree, it takes a good few minutes for any needle valve adjustments to show up correctly in the bubble counter (at least it does on mine!). Pressurised CO2 works very well, but you have to spend a fair amount of time at the beginning watching, waiting, adjusting and then watching and waiting again.

Ah, excellent, thought i was going mad...ill sit with it today then and persist :)
