C.sajica

Just bought a C.Sajica today from the fish shop... Its gone in a cycled tank on its own! Just wondered what kinda of a fish it was and what its behaviour is like??

Also what other fish could it be kept with? Cheers

although i have never kept it, as long as its a single fish, and not a breeding pair it should be ok, with all other fish, as with any cichlid its aggressive when breeding, but fine when not, just dont stock inverts or small fish that can fit into its mouth, if i am correct it grows to 5" and is more commonly called t-bar cichlid.

I am currently keeping a pair of Sajica, they were in a tropical community tank e.g. danio's, cories, etc and all was fine. Now they are in the bigger tank and only the Sev takes any notice of them, they sometimes gear upto lip-lock, but never any contact, and this is all the Sev's doing!! I have found them to be peaceful, mind their own business, active cichlids. They are relatives of the convict cichlid so temperament could vary fish to fish.

They remind me of little Green Severums,never kept one tho.
