Definitely, C. Nigripinnis is a pretty aggressive species. I also think they need different water conditions?

thanks for the quick response, for breeding purposes the hardness would be a issue and the pearls aren't very flexible with temps but otherwise they are both adaptable for survival in neutral parameters. The aggression is the main issue but with both maxing out at around 2" and with similar temperaments then i thought, with a mainly female population (5/1), it might be possible...

It's a space issue, and if compatible then why not, i wouldn't allow any eggs to hatch.
