Okay with is pretty much going to sound crazy, considering ive had a fishtanks around me all my life, but im upgrading to a 200l in a few days and i was hoping to get some advice on the heaters and canister filters that im looking at. Since my current tank is only 32 litres, i have to go out and buy everything new.

Please feel free to comment on any of the below:

Canister Filters-

Aqua Nova NCF-1000 -1000 litres p/h
AE-300 (what ever brand it is, no idea!!) -700 litres p/h
AE-888 (as above brand unknown) ?
Aquasun SCF700 -700 litres p/h

Heaters-

Sicce Scuba 200w
SLK 150
Aqua One 200w
Aquaworld 200w

I dont plan on buying anything fancy, but all these are in my price range and are much cheapers to be ordered on the net than buy from a pet store

I appreciate ANY advice!!

Thanks heaps!

what ever filter you want, make sure you have atleast 4x turnover rate so the two with 700 l/hr won't work unless the tank is very lightly stocked.

for heaters... 200l is about 55G so knowing a tank about that size, you might find it advantageous to buy two smaller heaters maybe 100 to 125W and place them at opposite ends of the tank to make sure the whole tank heats evenly. If you get just one 150W or 200W heater, even in the middle, depending on water flow, you could end up with one end being warmer by a few degrees than the other. It isnt that crucial in a 200l as it isnt that big but anything bigger I would defo recommend buying the two heaters to dispearse the heat.
