Buying Rams

hi do i have to get a pair of ram cichlids, or will one be happy, because i only want to get one

What size tank? What are your water conditions? What else is in the tank? They would do better as a par, so why only 1?

ehhhh. The silver dollars are probably a bad idea. They are a very fast, mindless fish when it comes to swimming. They most likely will stress out and pick on your angels. I would put at least 2 (rams) in there.

u could also pick either ram. bolivians will be fine in ur tanks current temperature, but increase to at least 27.5C if u get blue rams (all ur other fish will be fine in higher temps.) although my personal recommendation is bolivians

Do not get blue rams, go with bolivians, I can guarantee that your PH is not between 5 and 6.6 and that your temperature is at 30oC, even if they were, you wouldn't be able to keep the current fish.

Gold rams and electric rams also come under the blue ram species so avoid them too.

Your betta is most probably going to take a beating.
