Buying Led Moon Lights

Ok so about a year ago I bought a some led moon lights up from ebay. The set up was simple, plastic strip with led lights that were attached to a water proof adhesive strip. Trouble is, I can not find this on ebay anymore. I see the components but nobody sells the full thing that I can just stick to my aquarium hood and plug in.

Any suggestions on alternative setups?

Yes, these have adhesive backing and are very small, come in a dull white or nice blue. They are quite lovely

There are many results under "led aquarium moonlights" etc but they are not the complete set up. Stick and plug in. They all require assembly, particularly in connecting the plug/adapter to the strip. I'm not a qualified in that regard. Perhaps I'm too cautious but I have electrocuted myself once before doing something similar and lets just say it was an experience I'll never forget.

I'm shooting for one that uses an led strip as opposed to a bar because having tried both previously I found that the strips are better suited as they stretch to the full length of my 50gal and are hidden like the t5's whereas the bar look clunky and you also need more than one. But I appreciate the input, thanks.

No you havent, what you recieved was an electric shock. If you where electrocuted you would be dead.

I was wondering if you needed to use special aquarium led lights or if you could just use suction cups and put done regular led light tubes (those like silicone plastic things that look like a hose but are clear with lights inside) from say home depot into a strip

I thought of doing that too...the tubes were like $15 and they say indoor/outdoor. Wonder if you can find them cheaper...
