Buying A Puffer Fish

Im looking to buy a puffer fish over the weekend, can anyone give me some advice and rough prices for them so I know what to look out for. I have done my research on puffers, its just I cant seem to find any prices anywhere or what species is the best.

Is the tank cycled fully? - If no, then dont bother getting a puffer

What size is the tank?

You are aware i hope that Puffers should as a rule be housed alone (although there are SAP's which sometimes tolerate other fish, although these generally require dentistry)

Have you a food supply read, snails, meaty products

Is the tank over filtered

What type if Puffer are you looking for - Lurker or Hunter
