Hey guys i am upgrading from my 34g to a 58g setup. I have a few questions, but firstly i will give you some info. I will be going for a planted community setup.
questions.
1.How watt heater will suit this tank?

2.What better under gravel filter or canister?? and also what size or power out as i'm not good with filter types???

3.What lighting should i be looking at for good planting?

1: mostly u need a 200-250 watt heater for 58g that suit the best altho 150 works pretty well but just little longer.

2: I guessing u r making a live plants tank. By ur 3rd question. And in that cause deffinately canister filter. Go to ur local fish store and see what type of canister filter they have usually all the brand will have info about size of tank from etcetc - etcetc gallon writing over it. read it before buying you can also ask ppl there for help if you dont understand.

3: A good lighting means atleast 3watt per gallons of water so in ur case aim for 150 watt. And ur plants will grow pretty healthy.

Well i will be taken my existing fish which is below in my signature, and basically going from there. What do you guys think?
