So, last week I was on vacation. I decided to redo all of my tanks. I have 2 55 gallons, a 54 gallon corner bowfront, a 46 gallon bowfront, 2 10 gallons, a 5 gallon, and the new 29 gallon.
55 gallon
2 adult spawning angelfish ( one fish is 12 years old, the other is 1 year old)
1 3.5" commo pleco (rescued, looking for a home)
1 2" striped raphael catfish (rescued, looking for a home)
Sand substrate, driftwood, live plants.
pH 7.4
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 20
55 gallon
1 silver angelfish (12 years old, blind in one eye)
1 Black angelfish
1 Koi angelfish
1 Electric Blue Jack Dempsey ( Broken jaw, can't close his mouth)
Wide assortment of other community fish
Sand/gravel mixed substrate, driftwood, live plants
pH 7.4
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 20
Most of the fish in this tank have issues. I rescued most of them from people who think the toilet bowl is a hospital tank. I have to be careful when feeding to make sure the blind angel and the ebjd with the broken jaw get enough food. The ebjd was 1.5" when he broke his jaw and he's now 3". He must be getting enough food.
54 gallon corner bow front
4 pink convicts
1 yellow pleco
2 sydontis catfish
pH 7.6
Ammonia 0

Nitrates 40
I bought the convicts as 1/2" babies. I was told they were baby blood parrots. Now I have 2 breeding pair of pink convicts. There is alittle agression between pairs, but a big pile of rocks with lots of caves has helped. I gave them live plants, but they keep pulling them up and eating the roots and bulbs, so the live plants will have to come out.

46 gallon bow front
1 black angelfish (my avatar)
1 Blue platnium angelfish
1 bristlenose pleco
pH 7.2

This tank has my pride and joy in it. My black angel was smaller than dime size a year ago. He now has a diameter of 5". I bought the little platnium because the black was lonely and none of my other angels would accept him. They lay eggs once a month. They used to eat the eggs, but the last time I actually had babies, but they ate them.

Right now this tank has 6 swordtail fry in it
10 gallon
No fish in this tank. Will probably use it for a hospital tank, or maybe guppies.

I started with 4 shrimp a year ago. When I cleaned it out I had 237 plus or minus a few. Guess it's time to thin them out!

Now for the question... What do I do with the 29 gallon? Brand new and empty. Filter is on it's way. I thought about elephant nose, discus, kribs, and cories. I'd love to hear some of your ideas. I will get pics of all the tanks this weekend, hopefully.
