Ok, i have lots of questions that need to be answered,

1) When feeding my fish should i crush the flakes up as much as possible or feed them as the flakes come?

2) When fry are first born do they stay at the bottom of the tank?

....and i have some other questions but i cant remember them right now lol sorry ill try to post them later.

Thanks for the help,
Jeremy :)

I usually crush mine up as most of my fish in my 30 gallon are fairly small. The largest fish in the tank is a german blue ram. I often find the larger flakes un-eaten so I just crush them up a bit. I crush smaller pieces up for my neon tetras.

Also, when my molly had fry they always swam at the top...except for one. One liked to hide. The others just swam at the top. I moved them into a breeding net to keep them from getting eaten.

It really doesnt matter how you feed the flakes, if the fish are hungrey they'll find a way. I believe that fry do stay towards the bottom of the tank when first born.

provided enough cover at the bottum, survival instinct will soon determine which of your mollies want to live or be eaten! lol.

I crush my food up, but not as much as possible. Just so that the big pieces become medium pieces..lol.

My sword fry tend to stay at the bottom for the first few days and then start to spread out a bit more. I do not leave them in the main tank though as none have ever survived in there for more then two days. The flakes do not need to be crushed unless they are really big since the real fine bits will just end up in your substrate or filter.

If you'd met him you'd understand
(I'll stop now I'll alk to him later about how much of an...)

1) It depends how big the fish are. If they are fry you should crush the food so that it is very fine or microscopic
2) Sometimes they swim to the top if they are bored or if it is feeding time.
