I went to a fish auction (local fish fanciers club) Sunday and they had a pair of itty bitty bumblebee gobies. I bid on them, but didn't get them. Now reading the info, I'm glad that I didn't.

there are two species of bumblebee gobies, freshwater and brackish. If the goby has orange that go all around its body, it is a freshwater species, if the belly is all black, it is brackish

One of the LFS here sell Bumblebee Gobies as freshwater. I have told then tons of times that they are brackish but they dont care. :( poor little guys are so cute I am tempted to adopt them all. lol Can you imagine one giant tank full of an ever growing number of little bumblebees.

oooo, don't tempt me

I'm already tempted - I've got 6 but I want some more. No lfs round here sells them though :( I've got a tank and loads of barnacles shells all ready for a little BBG city!

I love my BBGs, they're pugnacious little gits!! They beat the crap outta my shrimps and the shrimps are 3 times their size.
