I have 2 female balloon mollies and one of them is always bullying the other. The one being bullied now is very stressed out and has clamped fins, always hides, and is losing color...would buying another balloon molly help? And if so should I buy a male or another female?

Thanks,
Megan

Yes, it probably would help. Get another female, even though she'll probably be pregnant it's better that than having all your females preggers all the time..

I don't mind if I get pregnant fish because I have lots of places for the fry...would it be more effective to get a male or female or does it really make that much of a difference?

buying another balloon molly will not help The one being bullied clamped fins and losing color is not good
separate them give the fish a chance to recover or very soon you will end up with a Dead fish

well I am not sure if she is losing color because of the stress from bullying or because of her last drop of babies because that is when I started noticing it...how do I separate? I don't have an extra tank :(

Are you sure they are both females?
she is losing color because of the stress from bullying.

A easy way to separate is with a pace of plastic canvas you can get it from any craft shop, it can be wedged against to sides of the tank or roll it up into a tube.

yes they are both DEFINATELY 100% female :) and thanks so much for your help! I bought a new female, I'll see if that helps, if not, I will either separate or take her back to the store
