Hi I'm a newb!
I have 5 female platys and 1 male. The male seems to stay on his own a lot, but my problem is one of the females seems to be bullying the other females, is this normal. I believe she is a sunset something or other (she's yellow/orange with red tail.)
I was under the impression that platys were quite friendly, is she just creating a pecking order?

hi,
how bigs the tank, how new to the tank are the platys?
do they have places to hide?
some times you get the odd bully :( , if they are new to the tank it may settle down in time, is the bully pregnant? some times they can get grumpy when they are.

She's not obviously pregnant, but they are very new to the tank. They have several rock ornaments and lots of (artifitial) plants to hide in.
Also the male has now started to just hide at the back of the tank, right at the top.
The tank is 90L about 26 " long

hi,
you have a good size tank for the 6 platys,
keep an eye on them, make sure they are well fed, give them time to settle,
are they all eating well?

yes they are definately eating well!
But i'm trying not to over feed them as although i did a fishless cycle, i'm still wary as to wether i did it properly or not. Like I said, all the readings seem fine. Although i have a prob with temp as one thermometer says 24C and the other says 27C.
Is my male normal?
I truelly under estimated how much i would worry about the little things!

hi
so ammonia is 0 and nitrite is 0,
very wise not to over feed, a sign of an ill fish is a fish thats not eating,
he may settle down, i have a female that hides evey time i enter the room :S .
