Bulkhead For My Fish Tank

So i have two bulkhead holes in my fish tank both are 63 mm each. I have been told i need a 50mm bulkhead im just wondering if that sounds right ? A 50mm bulkhead going into a 63mm bulkhead hole. To me that does not seem right.....
Could some one explain please  ?

I have just found out the 50mm is the inside of the bulkhead and that is why its 50mm and not 60mm. So i have just answered my own questions
