I currently have a Triton in my Shrimp tank and really like the colour of the light it produces but i'm not so keen on the ones in my Juwel Community tank and want to replace them. Unfortunately the new Tri-plus bulbs have a built in reflector that makes them incompatable with the light fitting in my Jewel tank. I don't know what the bulbs currently in the tank are as they came with the tank 2nd hand. 1 is far too yellow and the other is slightly blue. Looking at the Triton bulb when it is on it could be slightly pink or just white and is the colour i want.

So does anybody know of a bulb that gives a similar colour/spectrum range light to the Interpet Triton/Tri-plus?

It needs to be a 25W 30" T8 bulb.

thanks in advance!

How don't the triplus bulbs fit? -_- I have one in my juwel fitting. The reflector bulbs are the same as the regular bulbs except one side of inside the tube is covered with a reflective coating.

Due to the angle of the pins the reflective coating is on the wrong side of the bulb, it is 90 degrees from where it needs to be. Basically half of the light going downwards will be blocked by the inbuilt reflector and sent towards the front or back of the tank.

I've looked at the light fittings and there doesn't seem to be a way to change the angle of the sockets. This isn't a problem in the shrimp tank as its a self fitted light rather than the one built into the hood.

Edit:
I've just double checked and the pins are layed out like this : on the light fitting.

I'm sure when I looked at them in the shop the pins needed to be .. for the built in reflector the be the right way round.
