Build A Tank- Top Picks For Equipment

I'm going to be setting up a 55 freshwater community tank. With my two smaller tanks, I've found I'm spending a lot to upgrade filters and things as I learn more. This time, I want to do it right from the start.

So what would you buy if money didn't matter?

What filter?
What lighting system?
What heater?
What tank brand?
Is there anything else you would include?

I've only used a fluval 305 filter, but i've had no issues with it yet... it's only been running a year though, so others may have more to say.

I won't say anything about the others, as I don't really know much about the different brands. I'd just suggest that you decide now what kind of substrate you want and how you want the tank to look. Good luck!
