Buddy System

Hi all

Well ive been reading a couple of threads and an idea came to light.

As a newbie and continually reading and learning, i have a million and one questions that i want to ask and am a little afraid to ask or feel really stupid asking.

Why dont we have a buddy sytem- this would be done with people offering there help to a newbie and taking them through the steps.offering there advice. Could always add them to msn . This would in effect stop all repeatative posts and would be a great help to a newbie like myself. Once the newbie has "graduated", the newbie could then help another newbie etc etc

its just an idea- so please dont shoot me down. We are all here to learn and help where possible. It would just rely on people wanting to help each other.

So if the mods think its a good idea- can i please be adopted!!!!

this suggestion has been made and discussed before here http/www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=161276& (in the board suggestions section of the forum where you are encouraged to post ideas like this)

i don't think there ever will be a formal buddying system, however if you speak to someone a few times and get on with them most of them won't mind you dropping them a pm with a few questions.

there is also live chat where you can speak to people in real time if you might feel more comfortable getting help there. or in the computers section there is a list of msn addy's for those people who don't mind giving them out and being contacted.

but please don't ever be afraid to ask questions, the only stupid question is the question not asked.

i'd rather answer the same question 10 times over than see 1 fish die from the owner not knowing what to do. although admittedly i do have a few copy and paste threads with standard answers so i don't have to wear my poor fingers out typing so much
