Should all tanks have bubbles in them? I have a bubble wall in one of my of tanks and not the other two, is this ok?
t bubble walls do very little to aid aeration, therefore making them ornamental rather than functional. Gas exchange is much better achieved through surface agitation from a powerhead or filter pointing towards teh surface. It all depends on the number of fish, the more aeration u have the more fish u can suport, and it also makes the filter work better having extra aeration.
No It's more to do with the size of the bubble's and the depth of water, a very fine air stone can produce a massive surface area from the bubbles thus resulting in loads of diffused O2.t bubble walls do very little to aid aeration, therefore making them ornamental rather than functional. Not so much size as time. The bubbles just aren't in the water long enough to have any appreciable diffusion. No It's more to do with the size of the bubble's and the depth of water, a very fine air stone can produce a massive surface area from the bubbles thus resulting in loads of diffused O2.
And don't bubbles cause surface agitation as well?
But i know what u mean if ur thinking of bubble ornaments, these are just pointless in view's of aeration.
