Bubblenest???

My mate has a pair of bettas, he let the female out of the glass who had been in the tank with the male for about 4 days and she was showing strong vertical stripes and the male had built a huge bubblenest, he wants to know, that when he let the female out she was not interested in going near the bubblenest, why did she not go over to the nest? will she ever?

Usually the female wont go to the bubble nest right away and spawn. It could take a couple days of the two chasing each other before they are ready to spawn.

Keeping the female in a jar for four days prolly wasnt the best thing to do. He may have kept her in it until the male built his nest, but really using the jar is to see if the two are ready to spawn.
