My 10G community tank is currently being remodeled :D

I want to add a bubble wand/wall to the back of the tank, I think it would look really nice. My question is will this wand drive my betta insane? he's playful, so he may enjoy it but im not sure if all the activity and moving water wil scare him?

Male or female betta, what other fish are in the tank with it? Bettas like a gentle current to no current in a tank. You will see a difference in them if there is no current in the tank because they can swim easier without and the bubbles blowing them and there long heavy fins around.

male betta

right now he shares the tank with some danios and cories.

should i try the wand? i really want it. if it bothers him too much i could always return.

I'd recommend returning the danios because they are to nippy and will nip your bettas long fins. I'd recommend just corys. You could try the bubble wand but get one of those black things when you can control the pressure of it.

the danios have been fine with my betta, although they may be going back for a seperate reason anyhow.

thanks for the advice. :)

Personally, on anything smaller than a 20G I've found myself that bubble wands are more of a hassle.
They make the top of the tank alll...bubbly, so you can't feed the fish untill all the bubbles have disinigrated.

For a 10G, I wouldn't do it. How about a couple of airstones? If you up to a 30G, you can get it and alot more. ;)
