I've had a male betta in a 7 gallon tank with 3 guppies for the last month or so and just last night I noticed a whole bunch of bubbles grouped together on top of the water in the corner of the tank. Do you think this is his attempt at a bubble nest?..or do they only make one if a female is around?
Thanks alot! Dianne

Awwww..no pics. This morning I woke up and it was gone. The filter is working fine. Good to know he's happy! :good:

Don't really know why they make them. I have my 11 males out of sight of the girlies and i must admit that i'm very surprised when i get up and half the males have built huge nests and half haven't

Is this kind of behaviour a signal that they're in spawning condition or do they do them "just because they can"
