Hi all,
One of my honey gourami has marked its territory at one end of the tank, away from the filter outlet (naturally). I think he has made a bubble nest (or at least a large collection of bubbles. It has shown breeding colour (dark band in caudal fin and face). Does that mean I should refrain from doing (large) water change? I'm not sure he's found a mate yet (I have 2m 2f), even though the female are also showing a bit of a band running down the centre (head to tail). Can't say they have large swollen tummy though.
What should I do now? I have no particular interest in breeding them, but it is always nice to know that they can breed, as it means I'm doing something right. If they breed I would be interested in raising them. If they don't I guess I would be a bit disappointed.
