LOL!

We just installed a bubble curtain to help with our high ammonia levels today and our cory's love it!

Our peppered cory, Doug, keeps swimming backwards and forwards through it, and often rides the current to the top of the tank, and then swims to the bottom for another go!

Its very funny to watch them enjoying their new toy. I hope it helps with our ghost catfish too as they prefer a current; may see them eating more.

I myself also am confused to how it helps ammonia?

They don't do alot unless you have a really powerful air pump. I run a big airpump an inch from the surface for agitation on my shrimp tank, though at the bottom of the tank it makes no difference and makes little surface aggitation so is not helping the oxygen levels.

The ghost catfish i've had, mainly hid behind the 'bubble wall'.

They are both practically the same just different shapes. So they both do the same, the airstone maybe better though, making larger bubbles under the power but they are mainly for looks so just get a good pump and pick any shape stone you like.

Hi

My Puffer loves the bubble wall. Here is a picture (Not so good)

The air curtain doesn't actually affect Ammonia levels, just adds extra oxygen to help the fish deal with it a bit better.

Anyway, it looks great and it's so cute watching Doug play with it all afternoon!

just adds extra oxygen

Doesn't add alot though (little to no difference), unless it's close to the surface or a really powerful airpump.

Best way to add oxygen is to have your filter outlet slightly above the water creating lot's of surface aggitation.

heya which one did u get their are so many and some look realli cheap i want a gd one but dnt no which one and my corsy love my normal air stone they ride up and dwn up and dwn its funni lol

or if you have an outlet that you can put your air pump into, do that. then you can have your filter at the bottom and still have it oxidizing the water.

bubble wall, stones and surface tension agitated by some power filters also do the job of ridding some of the carbon dioxide present in tanks. It is also the reason why such strong surface agitating equipment should be avoided if creating a planted aquarium.
