Is that jus algae? If it is its bloody hard to get off! Haha any suggestions?

Get a fish that eats algae like a plec or some otos. Alternately, you can get an algae magnet or some snails.

The brown algae is a bugger to shift, just keep at it. (I hope you don't have an acrylic tank!)
Bristlenose plecs seem to like it and shift it easily, not tried ottos.

I have a brissle nose in the tanks but they cant seem to get it off... :X

Your bristlenose is obviously a slacker. Dock him a day's pay if he doesn't buckle down and get on with the job.

The only other option is an algae scrubber and liberal applications of elbow grease.

Haha I agree with you on that one i always find him slacking off in the filter! Could i use a toothbrush to get it off? It wouldnt scratch the glass would it?

Toothbrush. Interesting idea. Should be fine I'd have thought. Glass is pretty hard to scratch IME.

Use a razor blade it works like a charm just dont go near the corners or you will have a problem :X
Good advice. I've used a stanley-knife blade for stubborn spots in the past. Works like a dream.

Do NOT use on acrylic tanks!

Lol my bettas tank had that stuff all over then it got to me today so i took a paper towel and wiped it off with ease
