Brown Spot Like Alege Turned Green

I had some brown like spots on my ornaments i presumed it was allege so i decided to steep them in boiling water.. then after i done that when i put them back in the marks turned Green any idea's why or what it actually is if its not allege. I have previously tried to scrub it off with a toothbrush. got some of it off but came back in a few days

i wouldn't boil ornaments, if you mean plastic ones. algae is due to light and excess nutrients. feed less and have lights on less often, and you should get less algae.

they aint plastic they r ceramic... ok will do all turn off the lights .. how long for a couple of days?...
