I got some hygro polysp. a few weeks ago and seen a though it appeared to be doing very well in my tank, I decided I'd try to grow some more of it myself the other day when I did a water change.
I clipped off around 5-6cm off of the tallest stem and planted it into the substrate. Admitedly, I didn't take off any leaves which I have now found out I should have done with the bottom-most leaves.
I now have a pale brown 'fuzz' at the bottom of the bit of plant I'm trying to grow. What is this? Why is it there? Is it normal when planting some hygro like I did? Should I/how could I get rid of it?
I did not get any of this 'fuzz' when I planted the original stuff that I got from a LFS.
I do have a pic I can post if that would help.
Many thanks
