Brown And Green Algae

for some reason, i only get brown algae in my 10 gallon and only green algae in my 20 gallon. does anyone know why?

Different lighting and environmental conditions.

Generally brown algae is associated with lower lighting, green with higher.

Otocinclus sp. love soft brown algae BTW.

Hey same with me I have a 10 gallon tank and it just gets the brown! But my friend has a 25 gallon and he gets the green.
