Fish Fanatic
About a month ago I got a new light for my tank. The plants have been growing great, but so has the algie. I took the time down. I went from 8 hours a day to 6, but it is still growing.
I have a humpback puffer that is really aggresive and will not tolirate any other fish in the tank. I went out and bought a bristle nose pleco that is the same size as the puffer to take care of the algie on the glass.
My question is what can I do about the brown long haired algie on the plants and rocks? I have been pulling it off when I change the water, but it keeps comming back. The LFS said to use some kind of fish medication that is used for fish fungus. Have you ever heard of this. I would like to stay away from medication, but if that is all I can do.
