Brown Algea Question

from what i have read to rid myself of this vile stuff i need to encourage plant growth. i kno its not my lighting at only 1.5 wpg its not my lighting. but my question is if i buy some plant fertiliser (on the list wen i st this up but forgot some how) will this encourage the alge growth too?

20 gallons with 1.5 watts per gallon is really low. I would advice a step up on lighting and co2 to combat algae.

brown diatomic algae is normal, it should go away when the tank is already balanced.

they do indeed, but they should only be added to a matured tank.
