Brown Algea? (pics)

This is a fake plant you are looking at! Wondering what is the brown stuff all over it? it is also on the driftwood behind it.

EDIT NOTE: I do have a panaque pleco in there (pics of pleco...pic1,pic2), would he be the right guy for cleanup or do i need something else? (I would rather have a fish do the job)
