Brown Algae Problem

I'm having a brown algae problem in my 20 gallon tank. I have 1.4 wpg (2x14 T5 watt tubes, a 6700 tube and a Full Spectrum bulb). I have 6 tiger barbs and 6 corries. I do around a 30% water change each week. I used to dose Seachem flourish once a week, but stopped after I got the algae. The algae still is coming back though. It gets all over the glass, certain plants, the gravel, and the rocks I have in the tank. Is there anything I can do to get rid of this stuff? I'm afraid it gona kill my plants, my amazon swords especially.

If by brown algae you mean diatoms, then either get a couple of ottos, they love the stuff, or normally it just clears given time. And I doubt it was the flourish so you couple start doing that again.
