hi again,

i seem to have an outbreak of brown algae in my tank. I'm still cycling it and have been adding easycarbo to the tank daily s the dosaging suggests. have i been overdosing? How can i get rid of it?

i have attached images to show you the algae

thanks in advance for any help

ah ok thanks.

i guess i'll need to take the plants out and keep them somewhere whilst i finish the cycle?

you could do, or the other option is a silent cycle. this is where you have 75% substrate coverage of plants, then add a few small fish such as tetras or danio's. the mmonia produced will be utilised by the plants, with some of it going towards filter bacteria development. it also help[s to run zeolite or another form of NH£ remover in the filter
