I have a 600l tank and find it a struggle to change 50% per week. I cam manage 50% every 2 weeks. Would i be better going for liquid fets or sticking with EI. I have brown algae and am unsure of exactly why as i have co2 stable at 30ppm and good plant growth.

If the amount of lighting was decreased then you wouldn't have to change 50% each week. Maybe only 25%.
Other than that, a device such as a the JBL Aqua In-out or Python water changer would make life a lot easier.
Even pumping out the water with a powerhead and using the hose to fill up is OK to do.

I get my hose and stick it out the door other end I use my jewel internal to get the water going, kink hose so I can take out and then stuff down the filter until it hits the 50% mark then go and do something for about 15 mins. When empty I take the free end dose my tank with conditioner and start the tap to get the right temp then simply plug in. I guess this is the bit that requires your full attention though! Last week I chilled my fishes taking my eye off the ball I was worried for a while but they are ok now thankfully..
So I get 90 litres changed in about half hour including other maintenance and trimming plants is on the fly during the week.

I guess there are times where it could be more of a difficult task than that and may take longer.
